Chuffed to bits, received these today after a month long wait! Can't wait to put them on and get in line for the PAR Meter to do some testing

I will soon put 2 Lightly used Kessil AP9x and a 57" AI Blade Grow (can be used on 5ft or 6 ft tanks, as I was doing) on marketplace.. LMK if there is any interest in buying any of those lights.. These lights are wonderful and provide really great shimmer.. check this build thread for some tank pics under those lights

Outstanding lights, thinking about buying these for my birthday.

Only drawback is that they should not be kept in a canopy or other closed up environment.

Otherwise, I have not heard any complaints from Europe, other than that they are too expensive.

I have heard only good things about the light, but some really average reviews about the app, but apparently it's just a 1 time pain while setting up.. will know more in next few days!

If it is like my original ATI Stratons, you just need to login to your router to see what IP address is assigned for your lights. That IP address is used to login to change the light settings. Hopefully it won’t be too hard with the new ones.

I found some time to install the Stratons.. AP9X are ready to go.. I have 2x AP9x and 2x Mounts.. Asking $450 for AP9x and $50 for the mount.. Please let me know if you would like to buy these. I will be putting them on marketplace soon.

I thought (read was hoping) 2 would be sufficient, but I am feeling the need to add another one.. I am still running the AI blade to supplement the light in the middle of the tank, but the coverage of 2 Stratons isnt just enough for a 6' tank (although they claim so) - I guess that might also be because the lights are not mounted at 1/3rd and 2/3rd length of the tank (due to the lid restrictions). Pocket and wife are not going to be happy.

App definitely sucks.. Instructions say to stay within 5ft of the light, like right there in front of the tank.. I was sitting on the couch like 10 ft away and had issues connecting to the light! like really? in this day and world.. wth

I was playing with the color spectrum settings and faced an issue where the light completely turned off.. Spent 30 mins to figure out that the light's time went out of sync and they thought it was 9 PM in the night here and hence decided to turn off.. I did a hard reset and re-added the lights to the app, but not going to touch the settings until I really need to.

You probably need 1 more pendant. Maybe 2. My OG Stratons are 18.5x18.5” per light which lights up to 30x30”. The new straton X is 14.3x14.3” and lights up to 34x34”. I feel like I should add a third light to my current 59” inch tank as I get some shading at the edges and middle, so I’m thinking 4 Straton X should be fine if you want to go SPS dominant in the future. 3 lights might be okay if you are only keeping your tank LPS dominant. You can change the time zone in the settings somewhere. I recommend changing the light settings on your computer rather than phone.

On a serious note, dont think I will need 4, 3 should be enough to cover 72" even for SPS dominant tank (as per the specs it delivers an average of around 390 PAR in a 24-inch by 24-inch footprint at 24 inches below the light.)

Yeah sync time zone option is under Devices, but it's so buggy.. I clicked apply like 20 times, but didnt work.. hence factory reset was the only option left for me.. thanks for the tip on using computer, I didnt know I could do that.. I will do some reading!

The app sucks, but light years ahead of the app used in previous ATI lights. One more should be good. You can always turn them up if anything. I have 2 over a 36 inch tank and have them dialed down to 60%. You're going to love these.
