Haven't tried to change the MP40 programming yet. I wouldn't know where to start in trying that so I'd probably need your help to try something like that.

It'a cake walk. Just sounds intimidating! I'd be glad to help anytime in anyway.
As long as your Vortechs are the MP-40w's (wireless model) then all you need is the wireless apex add on. It plugs into the bus (one conveniently available at the 8 outlet block and presto chango, you're all set. Well, not quite, you need to update the firmware of the apex to recognize the new protocol but not really a big deal. To be honest, I did need to talk to Kurt "a little" to understand that the firmware update of the apex needs to be initiated at the display, not a web interface. Once I did that, THEN it was a cakewalk. :bigsmile:

Got Light?

Received and mounted my Reef Brite 48" strip of actinic blue LED's. OXO WOW MAN HOLY COW what a difference! I'm running them for two hours when the system first lights up (along with two T5 Super Actinics for an hour then 4 more Special Blue and Daylight T5's for the second hour) then off until the Mh's have each run their 4 hours and are off. The LED's come back on when the last Mh is off at 7 pm. An hour later 4 of the T5's shut down and an hour later the last two Super Actinic T5's and the LED's shut down. PG&E loves me! Here's the Apex program for LED's:

PS I know some of you might say, "John look.........it has dotted saw lines between the heads" I considered the saw but could not bring myself to alter the shape since it fit perfectly in last section that would accommodate a piece that large

Reef Brite's are sic! I saw them yesterday at Bryan's house and they make everything glow and pop. Nice favia you picked up and is that a blasto in the foreground?

It is. One I bought from O.T. over a year ago. It's somewhat standard colors but quite large heads. A "little" unusual.

Thank you for the killer coral. It's a mean one, can't place it within an inch of anyone else but it has a cool green outer growing edge and is the most vibrant orange in town. Looks like it's going to be popping off minis at any time.

Hey Bill, I'll aways blame you for getting me going on prism favia! Now I can't resist them. :bigsmile: Your prism frag is looking better every day and it's much different than the two that I now have, three including yours.

Fish Pic Updates:

So I did march of the fairy wrasses last week. All from Karson and Co. at Aquatic Collections. Purchased along with the African Flasher shown on the previous page was the solar wrasse shown below and a radiant wrasse who seldom socializes. Talk about fish personalities! The day of our meeting, I returned and purchased a Naoko fairy wrasse (species discovered 6 months ago) and one of my fairy wrasse super heros: a barred Mystery Wrasse. These wrasses are rally hard to photograph as they move fast even when they don't see a camera approach. I'll just keep snapping shots until I get some that are 90% in focus! :| Still owed are pics of the Mystery Wrasse, the Radiant Wrasse and the Naoko Wrasse. I'm a little concerned about the Radiant as my instincts tell me there may be trouble with his health. He eats OK and comes out to play for a little while every day but spends most of the day hiding.
Below the pic of the Solar is a spotted mandarin that I've had since about January. He eats like a pig and you can see his name should be Porky

Mystery Wrasse in somewhat decent focus and Naoko Wrasse. Notice that he does some reasonable flashing as well as the African. I've got to catch the African doing his flash and catch it for posting.
