Forum Contest: Semi-Rainbow Acan Grow-out Contest - WINNER

Here's mine for May. Still looks nice, doesn't seem to have done much, but you can see a little spur growing off the bottom left - hopefully that's good(?)

I need to get one of those acrylic top-viewer things to take decent overhead pics. Does anyone sell those, or should I make a trip to Tap Plastics?

Looking good! Nice and fluffy. I use small glass bowls as both frag containers and as a top-down viewer for pictures.

So funny, that's exactly what I tried to do last night, with the wife eyeing me suspiciously as I looked through the cabinet:rolleyes:. Seems all of our bowls and containers have very thick glass bottoms or have "pyrex" written across them...

Thanks for the comment, I'm looking forward to seeing the first one on the thread sprout a second polyp!

Check this bad boy out guys. I swear to you on anything this is not shopped lol.
And it seems to be popping a little head on the side it's puffiest on.

I was feeding the fish tonight and saw a big feeding response from my frag:

I fed him some pellets directly and he closed up to swallow them. I noticed he's encrusting onto the base and it looks like 3-4 new heads are growing out under the main polyp.

Hard to see here, but looks like two heads on the right side growing out:

..and 1-2 new heads on the left side as well:

Mine looks about the same but looks like a new head is starting to develop. I couldn't get a great pick heading out to watch one of the greatest franchise movies ever, Pitch Perfect 2. Call me all the names you like I still love it.

Latest update, acan is doing well and growing 5-6 baby heads along the tissue line below the main head just above where the tissue meets the rockwork.

2-3 of those heads are big enough to show up on crappy cell phone pictures, so let's just count those you can see in these pics:

You can see the biggest of the new baby heads in the center of this picture, just below the adult:

From the other side, you can see two smaller ones coming in and the side of the biggest baby head:
