TMPCC tends to be a little more harsh from my experience (Jeremy may chime in the same). Monti's and LPS don't tend to like it much.

What's the BAR consensus on Kent Marine Lugol's Solutions... if any?

Can't speak directly about it since i have never used it but I do know that the stuff we give out is essentialy the same thing (povidone)

From what I know Lugols is even harsher than tmpcc.

I've used Lugols before, it's too damn expensive. TMPCC is harsh as hell, but works well, and as Bryan said Montis don't like it. Monti nudis don't like it even more . I've found providine to be a good compromise when it comes to iodine based dips, but in the end Revive changed my mind on the iodines, plus it's pretty cheap.

Ya... The Lugols I pick up for $18 locally... I've also used the TM Pro-Coral Iodine before and have picked it up for $10 on-line.

If Lugols for example is harsh.... Is it not just a matter of diluting the number of drops per gallon so that it is not as strong? 35 drops per gallon instead of 40 for example....
