New branches have gotten thicker but not a lot of growth this month. Funny how the top crust eroded away but the bottom has encrusted a lot more. I did mount it horizontally so maybe it knows it need more support below.

So, for the health and sake of the coral I decided I needed to remove it from its previously encrusted location. Unfortunately, that means I’m basically starting from scratch, but it’s better than the shaded side continuing to die back. I’ve already seen some positive signs.

Seems to be settling in and growing a little. Even with all the nutrient issues and a few kalk doser mishaps, it's still humming along nicely.

Already getting some encrusting over the superglue in a couple week, so it looks like moving it was a good idea. Less Par though so I’ll have to deal with that at some point.

Does anyone know who has the left over part of this colony that was fragged at the frag workshop for this compention. I'm wondering if I could possibly another frag of it for my tank in general? My contest peice died a few months back.

Probably the best month of growth I’ve had yet. Lots of sprouts coming off the plug now.

Oooh wee competition is heating up now. Maybe time for the 'ol stab it with a screwdriver or clip some tips to encourage growth trick.
