He's making fun of me. That's all.

When I was younger I had a mind like a house, rooms full of ideas and knowledge. Along with those ideas comes a burden. This isn't ancient Greece, philosophy is dead. Right alongside it lies democracy.

I found the purge button and have never been happier. Ignorance is bliss.

Besides, every damn fish store in the bay is named aquatic ocean anyway. Except the mythology related ones.

Has anyone been to Sustainable Reefs recently? I went there in the summer after Baymac, but Will's site doesn't seem to be updated since Sept.

Also did Max open up a new place? I thought I heard a rumor about that.

I don't have any up to date info on Sustainable Reefs but was thinking of going by on Friday at lunch since I will be down to south bay again.

The most recent addition is Jofish in Petaluma. They are a nice LFS/service with not too much coral but some fish and a nice clean well maintained shop. They have room for a lot more coral.

Sustainable is still open and still doing aquacultured / maricultured corals. He get's a lot of stuff from ORA and he will order non cultured/captive bred items if someone asks for them. He is in the same location.

Max did open another store. I don't remember the name of it. I haven't gone there either. I just he had a website and it was really similar to Aquarium Showroom site.

He sure didn't, sorry to say :( Max sold his business to someone else who opened it under a different name. Once max closed down TAS (in the location he opened it in), he was out of the aquarium business (bummer).

Wow he really didn;t change much on that website, did he? That is the first I have seen it, that would throw me off as well.

I added Sea Splendour Aquarium in Fairfield today. A very nice family LFS. They have been in their current location about five months but have been a business for 24 years. The coral area isn't fully developed in the new store but the bones are good and they do have some interesting pieces at good prices. They had a nice selection of fish in well kept, clean, uncramped holding tanks. Everything is clean, tidy, well cared for and well organized.

The owner was enthusiastic, helpful and very knowledgeable. He was helping some newbies today who wanted to buy sand and fish in the same visit. He asked, for me, the critical question "How long has the tank you're going to be putting these fish into been set up? This sand isn't for that tank is it?" He seems like a pretty nice, conscientious guy.

Any ideas what this interesting sea cucumber is (lower side of the acan in the back) ?

He said it came in with a piece years ago and has been in the store about 5-6 years--at least that's when they noticed it. Order Dendrochirotida is as close as I can get.

It's Manfred what can I say, he's been around since forever.

His fish are always super healthy and fat, coral selection is very basic, it's a really good store for fish (mostly bread and butter stuff).

No way... Location #?

4-5, the poor guy is like a Timex. I do think though that he'll be in his current location for a while, it's perfect for a small LFS.

Charles, it's the street right behind 7/11. I went in there once and thought everything was overpriced. They didn't have too much coral when I went there a few months after they opened.

In this case you get what you pay for, look close at the fish and tell me otherwise ;)
