It's LCH silverback. Got it end of January. Finally looking happy, growing and colored up. Hope I didn't jinx it.

Beautiful tank! I just set up the same tank and have a few questions for you:

1) are you having any issues with overflow noise? I can’t seem to silent the overflow, despite trying a few things. I have a caddy on one one side and a sock on the other - the noise is primarily coming from the caddy side.

2) are you using might jet returns? If so, what setting do you have them one? I have mine dialed down to the lowest setting because of the issue above.

3) how is the MP40 working out for you? I initially thought it was too big but it has ended up being fine on the lowest setting, but I do have a number of dead spots that I’m hoping to eliminate.

4) what’s your water chance schedule? I was planning on going skimmer-less but curious how effective you think your skimmer has been and whether you’d recommend it or not?

I have overflow noise. Most of the water comes through the right side. I put a filter sponge on that side and it helps with the noise. The left side is just a trickle. I covered it to make it cryptic. Truthfully I've never looked down in there to see what's growing. I don't run the caddy. I also run a Santa Monica drop 1.2. The air pump makes enough noise so that I know it will never be dead silent.
2) are you using might jet returns? If so, what setting do you have them one? I have mine dialed down to the lowest setting because of the issue above.
I run the Mighty Jets, the numbers say 21.
3) how is the MP40 working out for you? I initially thought it was too big but it has ended up being fine on the lowest setting, but I do have a number of dead spots that I’m hoping to eliminate.
I like the MP40. I've also added two Jebao EOW-9's and one EOW-5 along the back wall. I think I have few dead spots.
4) what’s your water chance schedule? I was planning on going skimmer-less but curious how effective you think your skimmer has been and whether you’d recommend it or not?
I change 5 gallons every two weeks. I'm trying to do every ten days but that hasn't been consistent. I think the skimmer helps. I get some pretty dark skimmate and build up some peanut butter like stuff in the neck. I don't like to do a lot of equipment maintenance. I don't clean the MP40, EOW's or skimmer pump. I'm on my second skimmer.

You're welcome to come check it out if you want.

Not sure I would call them bounces as it seems that's what this type normally does or how they tend to appear. Not claiming to be any mushroom expert so only take it as my opinion. I'm sure many Others are more informed than me of course.

Here is a shot of a orange and green one I happen to have. Size of a 50 cent peice yours look bigger if I were to guess by your pictures

Started dosing Forbidden Elixir, 2 drops every other day. SPS growth has really taken off, especially from the tips.
