Yup, the catch-22 need lots of followers to get companies to in some way support you, it's really just value added proposition for them, it's advertising pure and simple, but often in order to get the followers you need the "cool stuff", or you need some schtick, and it doesn't matter if it's aquariums, computer parts, metal working or woodworking, don't have the eyes on you then companies don't want to put any dollars into you. And if it's something you want to get into, you have a lot of competition from others also doing the same, it's basically a whole lot of white noise out there, so you need something to separate you from everyone else.

Look me giving advice on how to do something I'm not doing ... well at least I'm consistent .. now stay indoors! (Actually am doing that)

The cubes been doing well besides for some insane glass algae growth that I’m thinking is diatoms due to how quick it comes back. Still super fresh so I’m sure it will pass in time. Removed the cardinals and put them in my display and I think the 2 new tiny clowns suit this nem cube much better. Also this light is a laser beam of awesome

Sort of a mix of both. There’s definitely shadows as I have some overhangs. Single point light source= more shadows?

Luckily with nems the shadowing isn’t much of an issue, they’ll just move till they’re happy. Looks like the tank is off to a good start.

Update time.....

Man do I love nem tanks, I now see the appeal of softie tanks as they are minimal in maintaining compared to a mixed reef. The cube is packed now and I’m happy about it. The only fish left are the clown pair since once the nems took over I removed the others and put them in the large display to have a better life.

Waterchanges are minimal and I do them once every couple of weeks and just run the skimmer and carbon.

Well that was a fun one. Pulled all the nems and moved them to the 40 breeder and this tank will become a place for frags and overflow corals. Currently cycling with some seeded media and dry rock. Should have something live inside within a couple weeks.
