Rostatos Reefer 450 and Reefer 170

Well. Finally upgrading the reefer 250 for a 450. I will not be getting anything bigger than this while I live in this home.

Here’s the spot it’s going. Taking the place off the TV!

WOW, that is a really big upgrade, I didn't think your existing tank was that small. Definitely need more lighting

I’m stoked. Just not sure how long I will have to wait for my seal kit to come in. I learned my lesson with the 250. Replace the plumbing seals after removing them.

Worth checking with aquatic collection. They may have some laying around.

I also need to find some 3/4” union check valves. I am going to run two returns in parallel cans need to make sure if one fails the other can still pump to the tank.

Sump is in and plumbing just waiting. All the craziness with the plumbing is nice, but it will hinder where I put my reactors and algae scrubber. Should be a fun project trying to get that figured out.

Also going to need to get a new custom ATO container made. This one was designe to have it hooked directly to an RO system. I’m not doing that and will need enough water to last me at least 7-10 days for vacations.

Yeah it’s got some pretty gnarly scratches on the front glass. But for the price, I’m willing to deal with it.

Tank is on the stand and level. Plumbing has been started and most seals replaced. I’m doing a leak test in the overflow to make sure that doesn’t leak first.

Waiting for Home Depot or something to open back up to pick up a few misc plumbing pieces needed to hook up my return pump.

Yeah it’s got some pretty gnarly scratches on the front glass. But for the price, I’m willing to deal with it.
