Finally got some time to work on the tank.
Mock-up with regular pvc before using orange/gray

I’m noticing you’ve got a lot of 45° where possible rather than 90°. Will that reduce the head pressure or provide some benefit, I’m curious since I seem to always see people just using 90s.

edit: I wonder if someone makes a flow sensor that could verify that ;)

You know Murphy's law. It's gonna fail when the office is closed!
If the office is closed, its not going to matter since the tank is in the office. If I can get to the tank, the office being closed is not an issue.

you can always join 2 return pipes before the return bulkhead.
2 pumps into a single 1" bulkhead? You can only push so much water through a 1" pipe. Unless you are using a pressure rated DC pump or a high effciency AC pump, its not going to matter.

Yes, 45 reduce less flow than a 90.

What’s that bulkhead do for you anyways?
Allows me to us a soft silicone section underneath the bulkhead and just after the output of the pump to reduce noise caused by vibration. Also helps secure the piping.

as tested, makes no difference.
That compares 2 45 to 1 90. Not 1 45 vs 1 90. I’ve used 45s in as many places as I can versus using 90s and in some places 1 45 instead of 1 90.
Eg, on the upward leg on each side, I used 2 45 instead of 2 90s and an overall shorter length of pipe. Using the 45 to cut the corner in 2 dimensions.
