Is there water in the tank yet? It was good to meet you gimito. I hope to stop by and check out your system soon.

Good meeting you too Jose...maybe I'll see you when Jessie picks up his rocks.

2) You have been reading my thread right ? I have pretty much "water proofed " all exposed sheetrock and wood with Fiberglass Reinforced Panels. This is the heavy duty stuff...not the stuff at Lowe's or Home Depot. All the seams are caulked, especially where water may spill.

Long thread, bad memory. Embarrassed, since I should have expected that.
It is funny, I mentioned the shower pan as a anecdote/joke, but I have actually been measuring and thinking about it for real.
See, my fish room ... not so classy. Random leftover wood, plastic drop cloth stapled to the wall, lots of duct tape, whatever works.
Following your thread is making me think of really splurging though. I bet I can find some leftover linoleum.

How much do you need ? You can have any leftover FRP from the project.

I am curious about those panels as well. Sure sound like a good plan.
Neat, clean, even a bit flame resistant.

I need a lot. Probably two 4x8 sheets, so doubt scraps would do. Appreciate the thought though.

Here you go fellas: http://rebarberenterprises.com/

Ask for John, he's the owner. The cost for a 4'x8' sheet in white w/a smooth finish will run you about $48 or a peebled finish is about $30. You'll need a 3 gallon tub of adhesive which I think is $35 (you can get up to seven 4'x8' sheets from one tub). Buy a 1/8" trowel from any hardware store for a few bucks and trowel on the adehsive like you would linoleum. The main difference between the Marlite FRP that Rebarber sells and the stuff at HD or Lowes is quality. Marlite FRP is much thicker and the trim available is better quality (not to mention thicker, which gives you more room for margin of error). :)
