The blade Calerpa especially is taking off at an extremly rapid pace. It really likes this light bulb...

So like I said before.... getting the Calcium reactor hooked up has become a hassle. Here's a few pics of the set-up. Take a look and let me know if you see anything wrong at this point...

Both Outlets are going into the Protein Skimmer Chamber

I believe I'm set up just fine... This is my problem...

How to connect this airline size tube to the T off of my return. I can't find anything at HD or Lowes so far. Several things would work. I just need some sort of reducer from 3/4", or 1/2" to the Airline tube size. Any thoughts on where to find and buy locally?

only the icecap Blue LED's are on in that pic... and the camera didn't pick it up even close to what it actually looks like.

Oh good, I was worried about any efforts at future coral growth. :D

I know I can order them online... the question is... is there a place in the San Jose area I could go buy one tomorrow?

How about using a john guest fitting like this

http://www.gamurdock.com/gam/images/products/zoom/maleflare.jpg

I have found these fiiting or like these at HD

About 99% sure Harrington's Industrial Plastics carries them. The have a branch in Hayward at 30587 Huntwood Avenue
Hayward, CA 94544. Not exactly San Jose but at least an option.

Cool... Thanks... if they are open on Saturdays I may just run up there to grab one and check out a LFS I don't normally get to see while I'm at it.

I've received a few PM's requesting the doc of the water perameters sheet I keep posted in my canopy for reference. I pulled the content from RC some time ago and formatted to my own liking. Figured I'd just post here.... PDF is what I use... Word doc attached is content only...

I don't think that john guest fittings work well with soft flexible tubing. However, you can use a john guest fitting to adapt to a piece of rigid 1/4" irrigation tubing then use a 1/4" double-barb connector to connect the rigid tubing to the flexible airline tubing.

You can get the rigid tubing and the double-barb connectors in the irrigation section at home depot. The john guest fittings are also at home depot, over with all the brass and nylon fittings and adapters.
