Neptune Aquatics

Patrick's 81G - the last dance

You can actually get grey schedule 40
I haven't come across that before. I probably would have went that route had I known of if prior to starting my plumbing...now it's more of a need to unnecessarily match it...kinda like wearing matching underwear...no one will ever see it, but some just feel better knowing it matches :D

Well at least you can have 630psi at your fittings instead of 450psi...

Search for forumfit on Amazon or Home Depot. They have furniture grade PVC pipes and fittings for every color of the rainbow and more.

You telling me I could have upgraded to the COR-20 instead of the COR-15??? Jk

After seeing those fitting prices (not just the sch 80, everything else) ill never question a plumber's quote for a job..

Important question: are you saying you match your underwear to your outfit? Inquiring minds need to know.

Everyday...keeps every color in rotation and Last longer...socks, tie, and boxers...I do most of my shopping at Express, so all my clothes (work clothes) are essentially the same, just different colors..

Brought the family to get our Covid shots this weekend so we left our schedule open to do absolutely nothing...

Perfect chance for me to get some work on the tank done..Unboxing all of this equipment that I've been collecting had me feeling like a kid on Christmas..

The UV power supply has a wierd diameter and I found that the extra brackets I initially bought for the transformer were too big..I was able to find an anodized fuel pump bracket on Amazon and got to work..

Wire management on the control panels was a little more challenging than I anticipated, but was able to get through most of it..

I installed a 1/8 inch sheet of HDPE behind the tank to help with the inevitable splashes and protect the wall and was able to get most of the Neptune equipment mounted and wired up..finally finished the extension cords on the EB8 and routed things to position..

I left some space to the right of the Trident incase I decide to get the NP later down the line when they get all the kinks worked out..

Next goal is to work on getting internet and some back up power for the set up....and a light...can't forget that..

This build reminds me a lot of these Korean custom aquarium builders I see on Instagram. Ultra modern, high tech, and cleaaaan

Wow..those builds are crazy nice..And they make everything look easy..

I like how simple they design it..I probably would have went that way, but if I didn't claim the adjacent walls to the tank, with my luck my MIL would stick some sign that says "Live, Laugh, Love" or something to that effect on it

Nice build! Welcome back to the reefers! Following along from what your older 200 and other tank looked like wow this one will be more epic! Wonder if you got any DBTC corals floating around anymore that would be cool. Oh nice wrapping the brick fireplace looks great I used to be a stone mason contractor but after three back surgeries had to escape! Plus that flooring looks super easy to clean up splashes and spills!. With lights out watching movies you got ambient cinema lighting complements of Neptune!
Thanks for sharing your build!
