Agree like a new BBQ!It's awesome and hilarious how wonderfully setup this waterless reef tank is
Ironically one of my favorite states of a tank is when it's just a perfect 5 pieces of glass, unscratched and completely clear.

All in due time...between the holidays, the baby, and end of year work deadlines, I'd have little time to tend to it now..just enjoying the journey..lolIt's awesome and hilarious how wonderfully setup this waterless reef tank is

It's that rabbithole everyone warned you about when getting your tank.I don't think i ever seen something so cleanly put together even on youtube.
Now if it only had water lmao
Thank you..but its all of the shelf items.nothing special..id be a liar if i didnt say i hate wire management with a passion after this..hahaThat is a beautiful set up. I could never build something that would even be close to how nice that looks
Currently setting up a separate system with a 10 gallon petco tank...ive been spending alot of time on humble fish reading up on it and planning on following their lead..Are you planning a QT anywhere?
I'm sure it'll come..id be worried if it didnt TBH..first build using dry rock so let's see how it goesI’d be lying if I said there wasn’t some part of me that just can’t wait for the filthiest, nastiest ugly phase segment of this journal LOL. I’m not proud of that part of me, but it’s there…
Beautiful, thoughtful build!
I would clarify salt water rofl but i expect next picture would include a box of saltI'm feeling the pressure so I threw some water in the tank today...wish me luck

Those suckers are begging for some anthias...id be doing a disservice to avast marine by not putting them to good use lolIt is a piece of art—maybe it is not meant to ever be filled up—and just serves as a demonstration of how pursuing the perfectly clean setup is achievable (although the dual AVAST feeders seem to be (desperately) waiting to do their thing…).
Will you have enough room/clearance on the bottom to add salt easily, particularly without getting it everywhere?Mixing station plumbed..
RO is plumbed into the top bin with a float valve. A flood guardian is connected with a lower sensor as the primary means of shutting the system down.
Using ball valves it's gravity fed to the bottom bin or to a pipe for fresh water. The bottom bin has a gyre inside for mixing water and a 200w heater.

There's JUST enough room to get a OXO cup to pour in...it was the main thing I considered when setting the heights of the shelves..Will you have enough room/clearance on the bottom to add salt easily, particularly without getting it everywhere?
Man you're right...I should have thought of that considering I used it on the tank...I may have one laying around somewhere lolLed strip or string lights are super thin!
How big are the holding tanks?Mixing station plumbed..

This one is rated for 900 lbs(evenly distributed) a rack. We use the same ones in the hospital to hold up racks of O2 cylinders. Definitely built better than the costco ones I have already. How big are the holding tanks?
I dont mean to throw up a red flag. However we use those types of racks at work for the dry storage areas, to store cases of waters, soda, jugs of oil etc, and the selves themselves tend to bend over time after a year or two. Nothing that happens right away by any means. Just something you may wanna keep a casual eye on as time passes in the future.
