Funny you mention lowering the flow. I was looking at your aquarium the other day. I was like man his flow is low. It looks amazing. Lol.

My corals were everywhere. Now sps on top with the powerhead pointing at them.

I've seen tanks with low flow for torches therefore I'm trying that technique.

Other corals are not affected.

Filter sock = clean glass everyday and change sock 2 very weeK

Filter pad = clean glass every 3 days and change pad every 4 weeks

That is an insane amount of work. How come your floor is strong enough for the weight of these two large tanks?

Common in San Jose? Standard in Germany. I do not think there a lots of houses like that where I live. I know Casey‘s tank sits on concrete. This will be the sole criteria for my next house.

Location, soil type, and age of house probably is a factor. With hilly neighborhoods like yours built on a slope, slab foundations require a lot more work. But yes, love that I don't have to worry about weight on a concrete slab vs the last house where I had to reinforce the floor
