Yeah you can run the cords along the rim of the tank and it's a lot cleaner, plus it functions as a drip loop to protect the driver. I know you have cats too Michael and probably better to get the cables out of reach!Why not run the cord up and use the cable ties like you’re supposed to?
I dont know if I made this up, but I seem to remember you’re supposed to run them with the cord up for some (mechanical?) reason besides holding the in place.
