Reef 3D printing request thread

From my experience:

1. I would run them with the cord down. I had my lid slightly off my tank once, with water on it while cleaning. The drips dripped down right onto my MP dryside. Because I had the cord up, the drops then went into the little, apparently not water proof, cord area and killed my MP. Super lame.
2. I would not trust just the sticky + ziptie. I had that on my MP40 on my peninsula. One day, probably again while cleaning, they dry & wetside detached from each other. The dryside then immediately crashed to the floor and got screwed up, because the backup holder popped off the aquarium wall. Super lame.

I now just buy the jebao equivalent. Not sure the suction cups solve all problems, but at least they can solve some problems and are way cheaper for the same thing.

Separately, if you ever want to try and find a 3d print, try yeggi.com. Example: https://www.yeggi.com/q/ecotech+cradle/

I have older white mp40s where the cords are coming out of the dry side (held togetherby tape). So using card ties is a no go. Can't have it held up by card at all. Only relying on magnets themselves to hold them up.

These holders would hold the dry side themI hope

You have the thickness set correctly right? They are holding well and you just want a backup?
