Wondering if you somehow got the waste and output lines switched? Also, I was unable to open the membrane housing to check that everything looks good in there - it’s too tight
I checked and triple checked.Wondering if you somehow got the waste and output lines switched?
If I did, the smart Buddie would never stop since waste is always open - whereas it stops when it detects back pressure from the product line.Wondering if you somehow got the waste and output lines switched?
triple... I use 3x 75gpd in series with a 75gpd restrictor... i get 1: 0.75 ratio of good to brine... or better, .Side issue, but 75 gpd membranes don’t necessarily have less waste fraction than 100 gpd, you have to go by the specs for the filter. Also, if you really want to reduce waste water then a double RO membrane is the way to go.
I asked BRS about doing this and their stance is the waste water out of the 3rd is such a high TDS that it isn't worth filtering. I am still not totally convinced given yours and Coral Reefer's experience.triple... I use 3x 75gpd in series with a 75gpd restrictor... i get 1: 0.75 ratio of good to brine... or better, .
You shouldnt be getting better ratio than that with proper flow restrictor. It does need to waste some.triple... I use 3x 75gpd in series with a 75gpd restrictor... i get 1: 0.75 ratio of good to brine... or better, .
Have you been able to get the cap off to verify that the membrane is seated properly? Also, I was unable to open the membrane housing to check that everything looks good in there - it’s too tight
You’re lying, it came to you on the toiletI think I know what’s wrong - it came to me in the shower: the waste line must be blocked. Haven’t proved it, but that would be consistent with all the symptoms.
I typically get about half to 3/4 gallon of waste depending on day. You think I can get less waste than that? You shouldnt be getting better ratio than that with proper flow restrictor. It does need to waste some.
I’m confused what you’re asking. It all depends how much water you make right?I typically get about half to 3/4 gallon of waste depending on day. You think I can get less waste than that?
You mentioned that I can get a better waste water ratio with my 3x75gpd setup than 0.75G waste to 1G RO.I’m confused what you’re asking. It all depends how much water you make right?
No. I said you shouldn’t get any better than that. It’s not working right if you do.You mentioned that I can get a better waste water ratio with my 3x75gpd setup than 0.75G waste to 1G RO.
So was curious about that...
Lmao. I need to learn to read. I read "should " vs "shouldn't "No. I said you shouldn’t get any better than that. It’s not working right if you do.
Have you inspected waste line? Flow restrictor in there?Grrr…
