Silly Jim ... and to think all this time you could have made her happy with a couple amethyst rather than this crazy tank project!!!

A couple of amethyst rocks for the wife and a lifetime membership at the Steinhart Aquarium would have been waaaaaay cheaper !

...speaking of which...how many jewels are you buying your wife w/your project ? ;)

Totally slipped my mind Brutha. :O

...by the way, help me welcome our newest sponsor Diablo Corals !

Your one stop for corals, fish, inverts, & welding. :D

(trying to find a welder to weld aluminum has been a pain).
That's why you simply bolt it together, save yourself the trouble, you can do it yourself if you have no welding skills, and its still plenty strong for a light rack, plus a ton lighter, and worry of corrosion is minimized, even with rustolium I would worry, all it takes is one tiny scratch.

I thought about that Mike, but what I paid for the welding...it was a deal I couldn't pass up.

Hi Gimmito,

I have been following your tank on Marine Depot forum. You have quite an amazing set up. Glad to see it with water and fish. Love your aquascape too! Didn't realize you were from the bay area. I look forward to watching your tank mature.

Garages are for workshops and fishrooms. Not for cars - despite what the "conventional" definition says.
