Neat! I'd buy a half-size one to try in a second.
They make small ones now! I’m going to order one of their big ones

I ordered some of the chinese XR30 knockoff lights and want to try them out in my 1010 light rack. Can anyone print me up some Xr30 mounts for 1010 (1") extruded aluminum? Will pay in cash or frags.

I need to mount 4 lights - so I guess 8 total prints.

Edit - I think this? https://www.printables.com/model/1010506-ecotech-radion-xr30-1010-aluminum-extrusion-light
I can print that file for you but I’m kinda far from you. Let me know if you can’t find someone closer to help

I think I am pretty far from everyone, but we can see who chimes in - thanks. Where are you located? Could you meet at AC or Kenny's this weekend ?

I’m in San Jose :( Saturday I could probably make it to AC around 4-5pm? Not sure if that’s too late, I have some stuff going on Saturday noon

Hopefully someone more convenient offers but I can always print them for you if not

Btw @derek_SR I asked Kris Cleven what filament he uses for his 3D printed light mounts and he said ASA to avoid any UV issues. I only have PETG and TPU since I normally only make things to go inside the tank that are reef safe.

Just something to keep in mind. I thought about that after your incident with your light mount.

I have asa. You should give it a try @MarcosD. It's just like abs but without the smell. Super easy to print. Also when you print stuff like this make sure your orientation on the bed is right. You want this printed long ways. Side to side and it would break easier.
Just to make sure I’m understanding you right, assuming the red line is my printer bed, which one do you mean? A or B

@Srt4eric if you meant A it would have to be made in two batches.
B can make all 8 in one batch just have to use supports

@derek_SR If you want it me to make it and have it ready for Saturday I’d have to know pretty soon. I don’t have any ASA but Amazon has the filament for next day delivery if I can meet the deadline tonight. I can get it delivered tomorrow and just print overnight to have it ready Saturday. It’d take roughly 8hrs to print with 100% infill and 0.1 layer height

I can’t speak to what Eric meant, but I think you definitely want to do option A
